IPO physician having worked at the Breast Unit. Responsible for EORTC clinical trials in breast cancer (1996 - 2003).
Taught Medicine I at Hospital St. António (1993 - 1995) and Clinical Pharmacology at Universidade Fernando Pessoa (2002 - 2004).
Oncology Specialist at Hospital Pedro Hispano (2004 - 2014).
Responsible for the Lung Cancer Group Consultation having directed clinical trials in this field.
Oncology specialist since the beginning of the Oncology Unit (2009) at Hospital Lusíadas Porto.
Experience in the treatment of Cancer in the Lung, Breast, Prostate, Gastrointestinal, Gynecological, Skin, Pancreas and Kidney.
Experience in innovative treatments such as Immunotherapy in Lung, Kidney, Bladder, Melanoma and Gastric Cancer.
Experience in treatment with Target Therapy in metastatic Lung Cancer with oral drugs.​
Member of Sociedade Portuguesa de Oncologia e Pneumologia (Portuguese Society of Oncology and Pulmonology).
Participation in the Lung Cancer Study Group and the Digestive Cancer Study Group.
Member of ESO: European School of Oncology.
Member of IASLC: International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer.
Member of EUSOMA: European Society of Breast Cancer Specialists.
