At Lusíadas units, being in good hands means trusting that our services rest on quality and safety best practices.
With international validation of the quality and safety of our health care services, Lusíadas Saúde was the first group in Portugal to receive accreditation from the most important US health accreditation entity, the Joint Commission International (JCI).
Hospital Lusíadas Lisboa was the first private hospital in Lisbon to carry this certification, in compliance with the rigorous International Patient Safety Goals, including reduction of risk of infections associated with medical care and reduction of fall risk.
In December of 2018, Hospital Lusíadas Lisboa was also considered the most technologically advanced hospital in Lisbon, after achieving Level 6 status on an international scale which assesses utilization of systems of technology and information to serve patients — the HIMSS Analytics EMRAM scale.
Medically Assisted Procreation Unit
Quality is part of every area at Hospital Lusíadas Lisboa. Our Medically Assisted Procreation Unit was distinguished with the Quality Management System Certification, according to ISO Norm 9001:2015.
Attribution of this certification reinforces the quality of the Medically Assisted Procreation Unit, with a nationally recognized team of doctors, embryologists, and nurses with extensive experience in the area.
On average, one out of every three couples become pregnant after treatment at this Hospital Lusíadas Lisboa unit, being the case that one out of every four couples that undergo in vitro fertilization treatment materialize their wish to have children.
Hospital Lusíadas Lisboa belongs to an elite grouping of hospitals that carry the HIMSS Analytics (Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society) EMRAM (Electronic Medical Record of Adoption Model) Level 6 certification.
