It was this commitment that led us to open this clinic carrying the Hospital Lusíadas Porto seal, the first private hospital in northern Portugal to carry Joint Commission International accreditation.
Clínica Lusíadas Gaia has at its disposal the Hospital Lusíadas Porto medical team and provides lab tests, medical specialty appointments, diagnostic and specialty exams, as well as personalized service and expanded hours.
And because we continually aim for clinical excellence, we continue to expand our physical space and our clinical offering, which now offers X-ray exams, stress tests, echography, and Dentistry, so as to better serve your needs.

Clínica Lusíadas Gaia is part of an exclusive, internationally recognized group, accredited by the Joint Commission International (JCI), the most important US entity in the accreditation of health organizations.
International Accreditation
With a clinical staff mainly consisting of doctors who are part of the Hospital Lusíadas Porto team, this clinic is committed to the quality and safety of its clients. Within this context, we guarantee the necessary articulation of services for cases which require more specialized health care or supplementary procedures.
Lusíadas Saúde was the first group in Portugal to have its hospitals receive accreditation from the most important US health accreditation entity, the Joint Commission International (JCI).
In June of 2018, JCI once again attributed its seal of excellence to Hospital Lusíadas Porto. This assessment was the result of a new audit and evaluation process which was conducted three years after the first certification. This process involved evaluation of more than 1200 requirements related to patient safety and clinical standards, and also non-clinical aspects, including customer service, management, and organization at the hospital unit.
For the first time, the audit was also conducted at Clínica Lusíadas Gaia, which in turn became the first clinic in northern Portugal to undergo this service quality assessment.
Practices at this unit, with its modern infrastructure and welcoming atmosphere, are in line with top level international standards of quality and safety of procedures, providing cutting-edge technology and humanized, personalized services.
